Homemade Pizza Dough With Bread Machine Method
Fill the machine with ingredients in the order recommended by the manufacturer, making sure the water is hot (about 110 degrees Fahrenheit), and add the olive oil with the other wet ingredients. If the machine has a “dough” cycle, use it.
If not, remove the dough after it has doubled in size, about 90 minutes. Knead the dough briefly on a floured surface (about 1 minute). Continue the process for rest and rising times as directed in the original recipe.
This recipe yields two 12″ pizzas or four 8″ pizzas. A wooden pizza peel and either a baking stone (for best results) or an overturned-rimmed baking sheet (if you don’t have a rock) are recommended.

Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas 7 and knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, or use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment until it becomes very stretchy and no longer sticks to the sides of the bowl (about 4-5 minutes). 6. Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6. 6 tbsp. 2 x 20cm round loose-bottomed cake tins – then line the bottom of each tin with a layer of mozzarella cheese, as if making a brick wall.
Fill in the gaps between the bricks with the ricotta mixture, then top with the mozzarella. Make sure there are no gaps or holes. 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
7. Melt the butter in the pan and add the garlic and pepper to taste; cook for 1 minute or until fragrant before adding 2 tbsp plain flour, stirring occasionally for 1 minute, being careful not to burn.
Simmer, constantly stirring, until the sauce is smooth and thick enough to coat the back of a spoon (approx 5-7 mins). Remove from the heat, season with salt and pepper, and stir in the beef, making sure there are no lumps.
